Rowing for All (R4A) is a grassroots sports project promoting social inclusion, equal opportunity and greater mobility through rowing across Europe. The project aims to promote social inclusion of marginalised communities – people who experience disadvantage – within the sport of rowing.
The Outsport project is the first initiative at European level to gather scientific evidence about discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in sport, and to set itself the ambitious aim of enhancing the impact of sports as a tool to tackle discrimination.
Rainbow Youth for Sporting Equality (RYSE) is a multilateral European project designed to improve experiences for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer young people in sport by creating training for sports educators on LGBTIQ+ issues and experiences in sport.
The Narrowing the Margins project raised awareness of LGBTIQ+ people in sport and tackled the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in the margins of sport.
Diverse Identities in Sport was an original, exciting and dynamic multilateral European project which raised awareness of innovative and inclusive approaches to increasing participation and equal access in sport of those excluded as a result of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
The project examines norms and regulations of sports that are based on a highly limiting binary segregation of male/female sports, assume masculine/feminine characteristics and then often project hetero-normative constructs - like mixed pair duos/pairs as elementary teams.
